3 Lessons to take from our brother Muhammad Ali (Allah have mercy on him):

  1. Choose your principles over patriotism and nationalism.
  2. Never apologise for standing up for your personal and spiritual values and beliefs.
  3. Assert your identity as a Muslim and demand that you be addressed with terms of respect – starting with your proper Muslim name.

These three lessons have nothing to do with being proud or arrogant. They are basic elements of being firmly grounded in your identity as a Muslim.

Yes you should have pride, but not from a place of personal ego and arrogance, rather, your pride is based upon stern and firm conviction that what you believe in and what you stand for are the ultimate truth, justice and goodness as revealed and ordained by Almighty God Himself.

This foundational stance, thus leaves one in a state of overall fearlessness and integrity, for there is no true might nor power except with Allah. If we can build and prop ourselves up on this firm and sound foundation, we become a formidable force who is able to overcome personal self doubt and esteem issues and the bullying of corrupt and deviant forces to instead rise to the station of honour and responsibility that beckons us as believers and vicegerents on earth.

We bow to no one but Allah.

His is the one trustworthy handhold that never breaks.

Fearless faith-based confidence is an essential key to your success.
